Professor of anatomy Dr Steinke works as a private lecturer at the Institute for Anatomy Leipzig. He completed his doctorate in 2006. He has been teaching in the clinical and preclinical sections of medical studies for decades. In doing so, he built up the electives “Preparation for Advanced” and “Operative Access Paths”, which have enjoyed lively student participation for many years.
The scientific focus of his more than thirty articles as well as his books and book chapters is on macroscopic anatomy. For the University of Dundee dissection course John Sharkey highly recommended’s Dr Steinke’s book: Atlas of Human Fascial Topography, Leipziger Universitätsverlag 2018.
