OVERVIEW
Successful completion of this kettlebell training course will give qualified health fitness instructors and personal trainers the knowledge and skills to prescribe safe, effective and appropriate kettlebell training methods which are suitable for group and one to one training.

You will have the skills and qualification to apply a safe and effective range of kettlebell exercises to help your clients achieve their needs and goals.

Course Details

ELIGIBILITY
The National Qualification in Kettlebell Training course is open to fitness professionals who hold a recognised, valid and current primary fitness instructor qualification which is accredited or mapped at EQF Level 3 or higher.

Not all primary fitness instructor qualifications meet the minimum standard required. If your primary fitness instructor qualification does not meet the requirements NTC will be unable to award a certificate for this programme, even if you have completed it, so if you have any doubt about whether your qualification meets the requirements please submit a copy of your primary fitness instructor qualification at least two weeks prior to the start date, or contact the NTC prior to enrollment.


SYLLABUS 
The kettlebell training course includes all relevant topics including:

  • Anatomy of the Kettlebell.  
  • History of Kettlebell training.  
  • General safety guidelines.  
  • Kettlebell exercises to include: 
  • Swings, Snatch, Cleans, Pistols, 
  • Squats & Lunges, One leg deadlift, 
  • Military press, Bottom up Press, 
  • Kettlebell pullover, Floor press, 
  • Turkish Get-ups.  
  • Variations to exercises is provided to offer modifications and progressions.
  • Programme design guidelines for Kettlebell training.
  • Application of periodization to the Kettlebell workout.
  • Kettlebell exercise prescription for an individual or group of individuals.
  • Client feedback.  
  • Review the outcomes of working with a client.
  • Reflect and self-evaluate delivery of Kettlebell exercise.
  • NTC National Standards and Guidelines (NSGs) for Kettlebell training
  • Assessment

​FEES
The fee for the National Qualification in Kettlebell Training course is €230.00 which must be paid before the start of the course.  

Schedule and Locations

The Kettlebell training course runs in the National Training Centre, 15-16 Saint Joseph's Parade, Dorset Street, Dublin 7 on the following dates in 2017.


June 25th - 10am to 5pm
